This 2008 special edition ornament was inspired by the three-quarter suit of Cavalier Armour on display in the Great Hall of Virginia House. It was purchased by Alexander Weddell from a Sotheby & Co auction on July 20, 1930, for £35. The metal suit is signed and dated 1681 on the backplate near the shoulder.
